A LOVE TO
HIDE
Directed
by Christian Faure
Paris 1942. Under German
occupation and Vichy persecution of the “third
sex”, two young gay lovers, Jean and Philippe must keep their
relationship a secret. Into their lives falls Sara, a young Jewish
woman and an old
friend of Jean’s. While Jean and Philippe harbor Sara from the
Nazis, Jean’s brother Jacques, a black marketeer, returns from
prison. As everyone tries clandestinely to keep their secrets, Jacques'
jealousy and betrayal threatens them all.

A QUESTION OF LOVE
“ Intense,
riveting and earnest...a beacon of wit
and sophistication in an age of too many
vapid gay DVD’s. Haunting...beautiful...sexy
and stirring!”
Randall Shulman, INSTINCT MAGAZINE
“Brilliant! Beautifully acted and
crafted! One of the best titles this year!”
Tom Danna, PM ENTERTAINMENT
"Extremely well acted by the
handsome Jérémie Renier as
noble Jean, and Nicolas Gob, as his conniving
younger brother, this is a worthwhile,
and deeply affecting film that sheds light
on how various people coped during this
horrible period of history.”
Gary Kramer, SAN FRANCISCO BAY
TIMES
“A full-scale
epic story, filmed in broad strokes, which
delivers a powerfully moving punch!”
Leonard Maran, SF OBSERVER
“An extremely
well-made and well-acted focus on a terrifying
period of history. Check it out.”
Lacey Worrell, DVDTalk.com
“Gripping, heart-wrenching, and
emotionally charged!”
Bill Lapointe,
BLADE
“Engrossing!
A stirring tale of gay male lovers in the
Nazi era!”
Dennis Harvey, VARIETY
“Beautifully shot and impeccably
directed. The acting is flawless.”
Sue Katz, EDGE BOSTON
“Intelligent, powerful, understated,
and immensely moving. The cast is absolutely brilliant and the
production fully realizes the look, the sound, and the feeling
of Paris under Nazi occupation!”
Grady Harp, AMAZON.COM
“The best gay themed film to
come our way in a long time! You will be on the edge of your seat!
A LOVE TO HIDE explicitly shows that inhumanity as well as the
goodness of man. The
photography and the music are stunning, the acting is sublime and
the script
is first
rate. This is one film you do not want to miss.”
Amos Lassen,
CINEMA PRIDE
“An elegant, deeply felt story
about how the Nazi era tore people apart and, at the same time,
forced them together. A remarkable piece of work!”
Will Doig, METROWEEKLY (Washington
D.C.)
“A well-made,
informative piece that entertains! The
performances are all great, the movie is
paced and shot beautifully!”
Jeff Walsh, OASIS MAGAZINE
“Irresistibly
compelling! Fresh and illuminating!”
Michael Fox, JEWISH NEWS WEEKLY
“Wonderful! Powerful! Beautifully
directed! One of the best European gay movies!”
Paul Harris, THE INDEPENDENT
